I’ve heard of computers lasting for up to 6 or 7 years, sometimes more. I’ve invested a good amount in the one I have now and I want it to last as long as it can. I bought it from best by, do they do check ups? Besides anti-virus software, what can I do?

Keep it at a resonable temp
really just use common sense and dont be stupid with it dont throw it around in a bag

I have webroot anti virus with spy sweeper. I had the free trial, and I recently paid to renew it. Anyway, ever since my computer has been acting funny, and the anti virus software is taking forever to scan. I let if run for four hours today and it still wasn’t done. I finally had to cancel the scan. What is going on? Why is it taking so long. My computer also seems slower than usual… i’m not sure if it maybe has a virus? What should I do? Is this normal?

the best thing is proberly do a clean install of your os, otherwise see a specaists. you can also look in the task manager’s process menu and u mite get some hints to what is hogging your processor.

I am doing a scan in safe mode. It is taking a heck of a long time. I am using avira and it says that it is only 37% complete. It only took about 15 minutes in normal mode
btw it has been 1 hour 4 minutes, and it is 44% complete now, it found one virus

Its has a lot of stuff to scan e.g the registry, all the files on the hard drive and the memory.
